Stay for a day or a week and enjoy the local produce. Enjoy the accommodation at our 135 year old 'workers cottage' nestled peacefully in the vineyard. Visit the Dairy Shop near by, to sample some yummy local cheeses, perfectly designed to compliment our local wines. Visit the lavender fields and be amazed by their colour. Get lost in the famous Maize. Take home a boot full of local fruit, cheeses and wine with your many memories of your stay.
About Heritage Winery at Stanthorpe….
Stanthorpe is the home and heart of the family owned and operated Heritage Winery, Queensland. John Handy, winemaker and son of owners Bryce and Paddy Kassulke, having recently returned to the Granite Belt region, is now well established and earning accolades with his award winning wines.

Heritage Winery is located 25 minutes south of Warwick and only a three hour drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast - it is the perfect weekend getaway. Open seven days a week from 9am–5pm for tastings and sales. It is the perfect place to learn about Queensland’s burgeoning wine industry, as it is also home to a fully operational vineyard and winery.
The Heritage Restaurant is open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Come and enjoy delicious meals from our popular Autumn Menu complimented by a glass of Verdelho, Rabbit Fence Red, or from the vast selection of Heritage wines. Sit beside the log fire or on the terrace overlooking the vineyard.
Our antique filled winery has been described as the best in the district and is the perfect venue for that intimate function, family gathering. We can also cater for engagement, anniversary parties or wedding receptions.
Heritage Wines of Stanthorpe is our very own vineyard. First planted in 1992, the vineyard is home to Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.
Visitors are always welcome to the cellar door and to tour our vineyard. We also cater for tours and bus groups and take pleasure in sharing our passion with you.
